You can help raise money for Stannary Brass Band by becoming a Co-op member and choosing us as your local cause to receive 1% of whatever you spend on Co-op branded food, carrier bags and scratchcards. Go to https://www.coop.co.uk/membership/local-causes to become a member and look at the band’s profile page

We are not currently one of the charities that can be nominated for the Co-op fund but we will be applying again when nominations re-open next year.  Keep an eye out for news.

Movement for Good

We are always looking to raise funds from different organisations and we have found a potential donor.  We need as many people as possible to nominate Stannary Brass Band to be in the running for £1000. If you are happy to do this please go to the Movement-for-good website and click ‘Nominate now’.  Our Charity Number is 1091307.

If you are not sure what to write under ‘Why are you nominating this charity?’ then the following may be used as a guide -

“Stannary Brass Band welcomes all-comers to play brass music for enjoyment and to a high standard in public performances, it accommodates absolute beginners through to former professional musicians.”

“The band has a history of helping players learn an instrument and develop their musical talents, indeed several members who joined as children have progressed through the band and gone on to play music at university, or even professionally.”

“The band charges no subscription and offers instrument loan, uniform, musical training and support all at no cost to the individual, fundraising is therefore critical in sustaining the band going forward.”
